This service is for Freelander 2 and Evoque equipped with the generation 4 Haldex Haldex pump failure is a common fault, the usual symptoms are a message on the dashboard reporting "Transmission Fault, Traction Reduced", and the vehicle will be running front wheel drive only. The Haldex Unit is removed from the vehicle, fully stripped down and cleaned, then reassembled with new pump, filter and seals and filled with new oil. At Bell Engineering we consider the low cost servicing of the Haldex unit imperative to sustain the correct operation and future life of the component and recommend the Haldex unit has the fluid and filter change every 20k miles. Land Rover do not state the Haldex unit and fluid as a serviceable item, but other manufactures who use the same unit do. The price covers all parts and labour.
